Attempt to visit Santa Barbara Zoo: Take One!

Meg and I have had plans with the Smith family to meet up at the SB Zoo-it's been on the calendar for weeks, if not months. However, once again, the stinkin' rain rolled in and ruined our plans! Meg and I had made arrangements to spend the night at Grandma Margaret's house and decided that we still wanted to go and spend some time with grandma. We had a really nice and relaxing visit with her and especially enjoyed the beautiful gardens and fruit trees (and her tasty soup!). Meg spent alot of time climbing trees and picking flowers. We also had quite a rambunctious game of hide-and-seek with grandma!

As you can see, the attempted visit to the zoo instead resulted in a really relaxing and sweet time "up on the hill" at grandma's house! The rain came in, on schedule, in the late morning so we took our leave after one last cup of coffee and a few more turns about the garden.
Those avocados are ripening up in a brown bag in my pantry. I wonder what will become of them? :)

Can I visit your Grandma's house? I'd love to pick some fresh fruit and avocados! Great photos of Meg.
