This was amaaaaaaaaazing! I kid you not, the date: January 5. It was Karen's birthday, in fact. It was 80 degrees and Kristin and I took our kids to the beach! It was one of the best beach days I have ever had. We were the only car in the parking lot and besides a few walkers and a volleyball game, we were the only ones who spread a blanket and brought a lunch. Emeri and Meg built sand castles and got a little wet, but August doesn't care very much for the sand. He was a little grumpy about his feet being in the sand and he hated the seagulls (who were very ill-mannered, so I don't blame him).
