The Lisi Family from next door

I want to write a few words about the Lisi family. They have become dear friends to us in the the two years that we have lived here on ole' Larch Rd; they live in the house next door. Mark and Pam have three boys: Nicholas, Ian and Kyle. Nick is 7, Ian is , almost 4 (Meg's buddy) and Kyle is just about 3 months I think. Pam has been my official cheerleader in my photography, passing my card and name to everyone she knows and saying nice things :) and hooking me up with events and ideas and clients galore! Pam also seems to be the heart of the neighborhood and knows everyone and everything about the community. It helped so very much to move in next to her when we first came up. Last summer, the Lisis invited us to a weekend in the Hamptons with them (Mark's parents have a really pretty house there) and we had such a nice time (it's back in June, I blogged about it). All that said. . . they moved a few weeks ago, sniff sniff. But here is the kicker: they moved to CHINA! Mark took on a very important two and a half year project there with IBM, his employer. It was a long goodbye and I cried when they left as Pam has become a special friend (she even uses the same Hazelnut Coffeemate as me). Sigh. Well, I won;t say more because I convinced her to start a blog about their life in China. She was hesitant but I set it up for her and posted the first picture and entry for her. I expected maybe a post a week at most because she wasn't so enthusiastic about the idea. But she has become quite the blogger and I recommend her blog for a good read and even a good laugh! Their China experiences so far have had me laughing aloud several times. So, if you will look to your left, I posted a link to their blog. Just in case, though, it is: lisisgotochina.blogspot.com By the way, I put one of those fun maps on my page as suggested by Jane Lane and I have a fun big red dot on China--so much fun!! Pam put one on too and she was shocked by sixty-some hits in just one day! That's ten times my readership!! Ok, here is a picture of the Lisi boys for old time's sake. This one is from our trip to the Hamptons, before Kyle came (I recently was forced to clean up my hard drive, so while all my 10,000 pictures on safely on discs, it would take some time to find the one I really want. This one lives in my portfolio, so I preserved it). We miss them so much!!
