Well, our little baby is FOUR YEARS OLD! How did that happen?? For her birthday, she requested a Mary Poppins birthday party. Meg has been in love with Mary for several months now so I really wanted to make this a special day. I Googled Mary Poppins parties and found a few ideas, but it all came down to the Lady herself! A few phone calls later and we arranged for Brian's sister, Rebekah, to play the part and for Matt, Brian's brother, to play her sidekick, Bert! I rented Mary's costume at a local rental place but I had to make Bert (I painted the stripes on a jacket I found on ebay!). The illusion was perfect for 4-year-old eyes, and Meg firmly believes that Mary Poppins and Bert attended her birthday party!

Playing "A Spoon-Full of Sugar" in which each player (we made the grandma's play!) had to fill her teacup with sugar using a teaspoon.

Matching parasols! After the party was over, two very happy cousins watched for Mary (flying home to Disneyland) on the front lawn.
