Now this Santa is the real deal. Meg sat on what little bit of lap he had left, somewhat timidly after 30 minutes in line of going back and forth between wanting to see Santa and being afraid of him. After lots of snacks, a lollipop bribe and a lost hair decoration (one of my faves, grrrrr) she bravely faced the man himself, sat on his lap (holding on for dear life so as not to slide off) and told Santa that she would like a "giraffe and ducky, please". Afterwards she was so proud of herself and called daddy to tell him that she sat on Santa's lap. I am proud of her for facing her fears :).
