Meme. . . for Jane

Jane Lane tagged me so I am completing my 8 random facts about us for her pleasure. Here are the rules:
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

8 random facts about us:

Fact # 1. We've lived in 8 apartments or houses since we've been married (10 years), that's not even counting our temporary corpo housing (add 2) and never stayed in any residence longer than 2 years. Depressing.
Fact #2. Brian is scared of black widow spiders. It's not a joke to him.
Fact #3. I am scared of picket fences. There are too many movies where people fall and spear themselves in the gut. Of course the rod iron ones are pretty yucky too (a la Virgin Suicides. . . . I've got creepy goose bumps right now!!!)
Fact #4. I'd like to find a new home for my cat.
Fact #5. I don't have a belly button. Melanoma. Wear sunscreen when you are young. This random fact really freaked out one of the nurses who helped to deliver Meg!
Fact #6. We have a HUGE dogwood tree in our front yard. I've always wanted one and it was like Christmas the day it bloomed and I realized what it was (it was December when we moved in and we had no idea what the trees were). I had just gone to the nursery to buy one the week before only to discover that a baby dogwood cost $1200. We also have actual factual poison ivy a few steps from our front door. I just dropped some Round-Up on it.
Fact #7. Meg says "helicopter" and it sounds exactly like "apple-doctor"
Fact #8. I secretly want to write a novel. If I do my pen name will be Chistine Scribby. I'll never write it, so don't look for it. And even if I do, I now have to think of a new pen name. Why a pen name? All the racy details with the names changed to protect the not-so-innocent (that's right little sister, you better be nice to me).
