What Have We Done?

What have we done? Oh, did you really want to know? Welp, this Manhattan family bought a (gulp) HOUSE and it's not in Manhattan. Yes, a bittersweet decision was made to leave our city and head once more into the burbs. Specifically, Briarcliff Manor in Westchester County, 30 miles from Manhattan. We made a (ridiculously low) offer on a house in a neighborhood we liked just for kicks, and our offer was accepted. We thought about this for a few days and decided that it was a good house and a good deal and let's face it, Meg is going crazy in this tiny apartment (she's not the only one). So, we migrate once again, but this time not far and this time, I think we're going to stick down some roots. So, congratulate us, tell us we did the right thing, cause. . .we still are a little iffy on the subject, especially when we walk outside our building and feel instantly part of the millions of lives who share this amazing and colorful city with us. And we can walk less than a short block for a Starbucks--or anything else we want! Yes, it's going to be a sad day to move out of NYC, but we are so excited to have a home to call "home" again, and a place to PUT THINGS!!! I can't wait to take Meg out to play in our very own yard. As I write this it's 11:30 pm and the folks upstairs are having a crazy party (again) and I am thinking--having our own place with no neighbors sharing walls with us is going to be fantastic.
So, besides that big news, we've been just settling into life around town. Meg has been to the zoo a few more times, to the swings in Central Park many times, and on lots of walks around town. We have been having play dates with Jack, Ella and Mirella lately. I put a few pictures from this week, Meg being plain cute at the park (showing off her 2 new teeth), and Meg waiting for daddy on the bench in our building's lobby just yesterday. Of course, have a look at our house--it was built in 1920, and we can't wait to fix her up a bit, even though she's in pretty good shape. Oh, we'll move in sometime in December, if everything goes smoothly.

PS: Meg is 11 months old!! Her birthday is next month, can you believe it!!!???
