Fourth of July! Our first in CA in a long, long time. Almost everyone ended up at our house at some point during the day, so we had alot of action and alot of food. John, Karen, Kris, Rob, Emeri and August all came over in PJ's for pancakes with berries first thing in the morning. Here we are, the most unflattering picture of all time, achieved with my camera's timer:

Later, most of the Giles came over for swimming, BBQ, kite-flying, sparkler burning and fireworks! Rebekah cut her foot that morning and ended up in emergency, so they came much later :( but we are glad she is okay. My fam came back later on too and for a while it was the biggest party we've seen since, well. . . in a long time. Here are a few more snaps of the day:
